Unless you have an allergy or other medical condition that prevents you from getting flu shots, I highly recommend doing it. I went to a Walgreen 1.5 miles from my house, walked in and paid $25, got the shot and was out the door within 10 minutes. Very quick and easy.
Last year I was confined to my bed for about 10 days with the flu and in addition to that, since my work requires a lot of brainpower and focus, I wasn't able to be very productive for a month afterward. It was terrible.
The flu shots are a mixture of three viruses that scientists consider to be the most prevalent for the year. Even if it's not an exact match, it will alleviate symptoms of other flus if you get them.
I have a selfish reason for this too. The more people that get flu shots, the less chance I'll get the flu since fewer people will spread it.
Quick, easy, and a good idea.
Definitely a good idea.
