New York governor and former New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer is in a lot of hot water right now for allegedly being seen meeting with a prostitute in Washington, D.C. It'll be all over the news and you can get all the facts from a legitimate news outlet.
Why I'm including this in my blog is that Spitzer was one of the most fervent government officials in the fight to ban online gambling.
Spitzer chased down PayPal when they allowed online gambling transactions, and forced it to pay a $200,000 fine and stop doing online gambling transactions for New York residents. Spitzer also approached banks to ban credit card deposits to online gambling sites and, in February of 2003, announced that he had gotten agreements from 10 banks to ban the transactions.
If you're pro-online gambling you're anti-Eliot Spitzer.
Spitzer was known for his desire to improve ethics in government, pursue white collar criminals, and the Mafia. Ethics my ass.
He gets what he deserves, at last.
I do, however, feel sorry for his wife and the 3 children.
