Harrah's,Current
According to Mark Adams of Vegas Today and Tomorrow, there's just one holdout remaining in the path of Harrah's massive land consolidation between the Strip, Flamingo Road and Koval Lane. A lone apartment owner apparently continues to rebuff Harrah's advances. Of course, Harrah's new owners could borrow a page from Steve Wynn's book and just build around the guy. Sure, it'd look weird but it might leave Mister X wishing he'd sold when his property's value was at its apex.
Then again, that long-mooted meta-resort may not happen for a very long time. European expansion is reportedly either on hold or in a "go slow" mode. At the least the expansion of Caesars Palace continues apace.
There's a new(ish) blog in town. Our attention has been drawn to Daily Fiasco, which seems to be an online version of "Norm!" But with more pictures. I say "seems to be" because Daily Fiasco loads slowly, which always makes me antsy. It's evidently been around for at least a week but the PR push just happened yesterday.
So, if the movements of the Hilton sisters are of paramount interest to you, there is now one more well from which to slake your thirst for news.
