Regarding Boyd Gaming's appeal to North Las Vegas to relocate its erstwhile "North Coast" from Centennial Parkway and Lamb Boulevard to a larger site in Park Highlands, the Las Vegas Sun writes, "It may be politically hard to approve Boyd’s request without approving Station’s" possible petition for gaming entitlement on 54 nearby acres on scenic Losee Road.
Uh ... no, it wouldn't. Boyd is surrendering the gambling-entitled status of its Lamb/Centennial site as a quid pro quo for moving to Park Highlands. Thus, Boyd is going with the flow of Mayor Michael Montandon's edict that no new casino sites be approved until the four vacant gaming enterprise zones in North Las Vegas have been built out. Station Casinos can offer no similar concession. Advantage: Montandon.
Ms. Atlantic City? Las Vegas has George Wallace and Atlantic City has ... Giada DeLaurentis. Well, she's the better-looking of the two, anyway.
