Late on Wednesday, online news services began to break the story of Steve Wynn's lawsuit against scummy-movie producer Joe Francis. Early the next morning, the Las Vegas Sun, followed up with specifics that included some allegations by Francis that ought to warrant considerable skepticism.
Come Friday, the Dogpatch Daily finally plods into view, with nothing of substance to add except the amount of damages Wynn is seeking. Why the duplication of effort? And if you're going to write a "me too" story, don't your readers deserve something other than a rehash of yesterday's news.
And can anybody explain why Wynn is only suing for a piddling $10K? That's probably not even going to cover his legal tab when this is over.
I believe it is 10 million, not 10 K, per another article I saw.
