A few quick odds and ends, just for fun ...
At last somebody had the nerve to say what I was merely thinking about the hotel rooms at Aria. That somebody is Chuck Monster, who calls them "supremely underwhelming, even with all the gadgets and gizmos." Thanks for putting into words so well and succinctly, M. Monster.

Another installment in The Greatest Achievement of Western Civilization (aka Stargate SG-1) has come forth upon video. I'm not in the DVD extras this time around, which means I can review it -- and did. I sprang for a supplemental Blu-Ray copy, too, which shows you how pathe ... deeply devoted I am. (If you think that's bad, you should have seen me jumping for joy at Comic Con when I realized I was going to be meeting Amanda Tapping face to face.)
Aw heck, even I know who José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero is and what country he runs. Say, whatever happened to that Harrah's Entertainment megaresort that was slated for Spain? Que pasa, Señor Loveman?
"The Charles Barkley Show" live from Wynn Las Vegas. I'm sure this sounded a lot better in the writers' room. Or else they should have engaged the real Sir Charles to do the sketch. I don't think I'm spilling any trade secrets by saying that Mandalay Bay exec Rick Fields singled out Barkley the other night as an exceptionally amiable and low-maintenance high roller. Many other (unnamed) celebs -- not so much.
