'Elvis' project at death's door

Elvis sighted -- in Henderson, of course.

Some of you will remember FX Real Estate & Entertainment's announcement of an Elvis-themed resort, slated for a spot on the Strip immediately south of Planet Hollywood. I called "bullshit" on this one back in March and, sho 'nuff, Robert Sillerman has informed the SEC that "it is unlikely that the program originally proposed will be undertaken." We need to come up with a new term, something that will be the casino-resort equivalent of "vaporware," to describe pie-in-the-sky projects like this.
