Encore encores: Restaurants up the Wazuzu

Wazuzu: The iconic dragon's head alone weighs 800 pounds.

Society Café: Roger Thomas' favorite of the various Encore restaurants. If you don't mind dropping $30 on breakfast, you'll like it too.

Botero: At this size, sadly, the photograph doesn't even come close to doing the place justice. It's a little cramped, but memorable, and the cuisine is the best at Encore (and also the priciest).

The bar area, complete with a Botero original. They serve the wickedest sangria in town.

Sinatra: It was to have been "Theo" and the Chairman of the Board theme was a late addition -- but it works.

Not a bad place to wait: The Sinatra bar, complete with two obelisks and an ornamental ship that Thomas salvaged from a defunct New York City hotel. Bon voyage!

I needed to check out SWITCH restaurant at Encore
that switches it's decore while the serving staff switches
their's...THERE'S BEEN A SWITCH already and
the servers aren't switchin'...takes too much time I
was told.

There are two walls however that change every half
hour or so to visually entertain the dining guests.
(pardon me while I Y A A A W N, excuuuuuuse me)
The wall that I saw, was covered in a mix of fabric/curtains, colors and textures, ropes and tassels. Every half hour
or so, it drops into the floor...stays there leaving an open air
window to the outside world. Then, it raises up again
in it's new look, just to repeate the same thing in another
half hour. It's quite expensive, business casual dress cold
is strictly inforced and I decided to try SINATRA.

There didn't seem to be any dress code (or at least not the enforcement thereof) the night I was there but standards may have been relaxed for Media Week.
Also, I didn't notice any wardrobe changes by the serving staff, so that idea must have been ditched at a very early stage. Even so, the service was the slowest of the Botero/Sinatra/Switch trio (I don't like Asian food, so I took a pass on Wazuzu).
