What's the aroma of desperate hipness? Probably something very much the olfactory onslaught of Ed Hardy Men's EDT (no, not DDT) by Christian Audigier. The latter is a patron saint of the local nightclub scene and his indescribable clothing line is the de facto uniform of young-ish men who hope to be allowed past the velvet rope into Strip night spots -- like Christian Audigier The Nightclub, at Treasure Island, where they serve abominable Audigier-branded wine.
Quite the entrepreneurial success story, this Audigier. Anyway, in a moment straight out of Family Guy, I attempted to sample les parfums de le douchebagerie but what I got for my troubles was a self-administered faceful of "Tiger," which is as close as I hope I never come to getting sprayed by a polecat. That's some of the cheapest-smelling shit to ever invade my nostrils. But if you can bottle and sell it en masse for nearly $20 an ounce, more power to you, brother.
