At the hospital

A sudden and unsettling bout of chest pains and difficult breathing has landed me in the emergency room. Actually, it's more like a fridge in which the hospital keeps people on ice while it tries to get a clue. Some of the patients appear to have been here most of the day. If this is state-of-the-art American health service, We.Are.Fucked, My cats get better, faster treatment when I take them to the vet.

My sincere apologies for being temporarily out of action. The next time my chest hurts, I'll just keep plugging away until I keel over.

Kerr Mudgeon's Gravatar You must have inadvertently gone to the "Anomaly Medical Center". After all, according to our gNOp friends, we have "the best medical care in the world" - so if you didn't get it, it's your fault.
In any case, I wish you well.

Jinx's Gravatar Hope it's nothing serious and your back on your feet soon. You have to get yourself over to the Cleveland Clinic partnered hospital, although I think it's brain surgery there, not heart surgery which they are renowned for. Sorry useless information there but I had read quite a bit on Nevada's healthcare issues and saw that CC was partnering in the area. While they still have there problems here, I can tell you from horror stories I've heard and personal experience they maybe the best in the business.

Jeff in OKC's Gravatar Funny Steve would say that, because I picture that if this happened to him he would be tweeting all night, taking pictures, posting it on his blog on Thursday AND pitching a story to the NYT about a first person account of "The Sorry State OF Sin CIity Health Care":-).

Edward Murakami's Gravatar C'mon Dave! Next time, try the emergency room and not the morgue!

Rockymet's Gravatar We are wishing you a speedy recovery. Please post your chest x-rays, there are those who would like to see proof that you do have a heart.

mike_ch's Gravatar Good luck, Dave!

The state of medicine in America isn't quite THIS bad, it's just that Nevada lives up to the worst/lowest in everything.
