Actually, they're pretty much who you thought they were. At least their moronic gullibility gave rise to an unusually witty Twitter posting (by Daily Fiasco.com): "Spencer Pratt: 9/11 an inside job. Conspiracy theorists nationwide rush to say it was probably bin Laden after all."

Thank you, Mr. McKee for this enlightening post. I didn't know who the Pratts were, so I had to do some searching. From Wikipedia:
"Reality television
Pratt first appeared on television in 2005 in the short-lived reality series The Princes of Malibu. Pratt also executive produced the series and acted as a "manager-slash-publicist-slash-agent-slash-stylist" to series star Brody Jenner.[2] Pratt's friendship with Jenner led to his role on the MTV reality series The Hills, in 2006. Pratt's relationship with fellow cast member Heidi Montag was detailed on the series, along with the tension it caused between Montag and series star Lauren Conrad.[3]

In April 2009, Pratt and Montag joined the cast of the reality television show, I'm a Celebrity... Get Me out of Here! Pratt's behavior on the show was criticized as being childish and self-centered, and he drew controversy after claiming that NBC subjected the couple to torture. After four days, the couple quit the show. The couple then changed their mind and returned to the show after completing a challenge. However, they had to leave the show again shortly after returning because Montag had to be hospitalized due to a gastric ulcer. After leaving the hospital, the couple denied rumors that they had been tortured while on the show."
I also checked some of the sites linked to them. Conclusion:
The Pratts are dingleberries, and so are the authors of any historical "theories" that they promote. If I were to do some more googling, I assume that I would find statements from Montag that agents of "the New World Order" had (unsuccessfully) poisoned her to shut her up about their nefarious plans - and that only her faith in God had saved her.
