The Las Vegas Monorail is offering travel specials this Presidents Day weekend. Locals (you have to show Nevada ID) can ride free all day this Saturday (the 16th). Out-of-towners as well as locals are offered a big discount on three-day passes (valid for three consecutive days). You can buy two of them for the price of one, $40. The good news is that you can buy them today (the 14th) through Monday (the 18th) but you have a whole year to USE them.
Now here’s the weird part of the Monorail celebration. On Saturday there is free entertainment, giveaways, and special activities at all Monorail stations, including such things as handwriting analysis, fortune telling, and … (ta dah!) speed dating! I guess if your honey didn’t remember you on Valentines Day, you can try to find a replacement Saturday.
Go to the Monorail's Web site for more exciting (or not) details.
Quote of the Day: Steve Wynn said, speaking of the actions of other big casino companies: “They have a lot more properties in the market that cover all segments. We cater to one market, rich folks.”
