My host at a MGM Mirage property just called me because Brad and I had scheduled play at her casino tomorrow (Jan. 11) and she was going to upload some free play on both of our cards for that day. She said that there would be a company-wide upgrade of their computer systems beginning at midnight tonight and it was scheduled to be shut down for two days, Jan. 12 and 13.
I would recommend not playing at any MGM Mirage property on those two days if you want your players club points to accrue accurately, no matter what you are told about backup systems. I might even give them an extra day and not play until Thursday! I don't trust casino computer systems completely!
