For the last 2 years I have paid 10.00 at the beginning of the season and used the pool all summer. To charge 20.00 a day is insane. I drank cocktails at the pool, ate lunch at the deli afterward, and gambled. You just lost a customer M. I doubt I will even go to the buffet which I loved because of this BS. I will drive down Dean Martin the other way and go to the Rio which has more space, more pools and DOESN'T CHARGE AT ALL.

We watched as EVERY local decided against paying the $20 last Saturday (5/3). We opted for the Pond at GVR which was AWESOME. M isn't on the Strip, isn't convenient and now has lost it's locals appeal. New management. THERE ARE NOT ANY TAXIS OUT FRONT-THAT MEANS YOU'RE NOT ON THE STRIP AND CAN'T CHARGE STRIP PRICES! Suply and demand. Great resort-terrible decision.
it's $20 for locals now - claudia (05/05/2014)
The list for locals at the M doesn't exist anymore, it's now $20 per person. The price you paid for the cabana doesn't go towards food and drink anymore, it pays for water and juice. So much for The M showing the locals love.

Yes, for sure! Locals SHOULD be able to visit and use the main pool, at no cost. Keeping in mind, of course, that we ALSO purchase cocktails (which should be discounted), and generally play one or more casino games. We don't want "something for nothing", but the resort WILL get revenue from us anyway, in trade for a GREAT experience at THE BEST "locals-based" casino/hotel in the Valley. Thank you in advance, for your accommodations. :)
