Anyone ever heard of or use Toutbuster.com? This guy claims that he is not a tout but he has a service. I am not ready to coughh up my hard earned dough to him unless someone convinces me. I dont normally give a shit about new touts but I like this guy's "story" and the methodology.

Records look nice but I can see the archives only for 1 month.

Here is what he says in his home page:

Welcome to toutbuster.com

I am not going to waste anytime trying to make a sales pitch like all the touts (sports tipsters/services who charge for their picks). I will get straight to the point. I got into sports betting about 10 years ago and my first 7 years were losing years. During the first 5 years I made my own picks and followed some tipsters on message boards--finished each of those 5 years in the negative or close to par. Then I realized that even If I managed to pick/find more winners than losers, it is still hard to make profit because of the psychology of money management. This is when I decided to join sports handicapping services to simply follow their advice so that I don't have to let my psychology affect anything. I spent the next 2 years trying numerous sports services--each of those 2 years were huge negatives--I lost more during those 2 years than what I lost in the first 5 years combined. During my first 5 years, the biggest bet I ever placed was $250. Then the next 2 years when I was trying out different sports services, I placed wagers ranging from $50 to $500.

The working formula...

Psychology of a gambler (be it handicapping a game to pick the winning side or deciding on how much to bet) almost always work against him. Nearly 2 years after using many sports services, I realized that the above fact is true for all sports services as well because most of them bet on their picks. Even if they don't bet on their picks, they still have the same pressure and mentality as the gamblers because they get paid to make their selections. They pick loser after loser causing you to lose money and when they pick more winners than losers, they would still lose money because of the staking psychology. When I made the above realization it was already the beginning of 2006 and that was when the tide turned in favor of me.

By the fall of 2006 I have successfully mastered the art of when to fade and when to follow a sports service. There are hundreds of services out there, that means a lot picks. Key is to study them all and make a wise decision and play them with strict discipline. I have 3 rules that I strictly follow. 1. Never bet more than $1000 (I use only 4 bet sizes: $250, $500, $750, $100. Majority of the bets are for $500.) 2. Never bet more than three games on a given day. 3. Don't break rules one and two.

I have received many emails regarding rule one considering the success I have had in the past two years. They always ask, why don't I move to Vegas and do this full time betting a lot more etc. If I do that, I know for sure that the psychology that I was talking about earlier would come into play causing destruction. Sometimes, I myself get the temptation to bet large amount, but I refuse to break my rules. When you involve too much money, you involve too much emotion and that my friend will have a big negative effect on your betting related decisions.

The birth of toutbuster.com...

Until this year I never thought that I would sell my bets. 2006 was my first winning year and since then I am on a roll. During my success I shared my bets with some friends and co-workers. The word of mouth spread and it slowly caught on. By the middle of 2007 baseball season, I had about 20 people (mostly friends, co-workers and relatives) receiving my picks daily by email. By the start of 2007 NFL season the list tripled, now there were lot of people that I don't even know such as friends of co-workers, friends, relatives etc. On April Fools Day of 2008, from a suggestion of a good friend, I sent out an April Fools email to everyone on the list saying that they must pay $500/week if they want to continue receiving my picks. Most of them got the joke, but 7 people on the list took up my offer not knowing that it was a joke--They were ready to pay $500/week to have me send them my bets daily. And that was when I came up with the idea of charging for my emails. I got the nickname Tout Buster from friends in 2007 and I decided to go by that name since the domain was available! Toutbuster.com was launched on June 1, 2008. I have had many winning weeks since 2006 but there is no point in showing off what wasn't here. Therefore, in the records page you will see only the results since the launch of this website--this way, as a subscriber, you can see that the results and archives are accurate.

I get many emails regarding the psychology and pressure that I was talking about earlier--people ask if I could continue my success with the added pressure of people paying me. Well, there is no pressure for me. I am not making picks to sell. People pay me to send them daily email with my bets. I do not guarantee anything. Those who want my emails with my bets always pay the subscription cost regardless of how the bets perform.

Psychology and pressure that I was talking about earlier was for sports services who make picks to sell--they always sell their picks with guarantees such as free weeks if they don't maintain certain success rate or units in profit. When you see such guarantees, you can be sure that they will eventually lose your bankroll because they will try too hard to avoid giving free weeks.

Thanks for reading. May the winnings be yours!

I think anyone who follows this tout needs to see a psychiatrist - a mere psychologist could cause you to fall into the same trap as this wizard.

I bet what he really discovered is that if he can concoct a good cover story then he can sell picks to fools like he used to be.

Probably most touts got into business by either winning some big, short term contest that gave them a lot of publicity or they realized they couldn't win by betting but could make an income fromsuckers.

A sucker is born every minute. These fuckers are scammers! If they could do it on their own they would not waste their time busting their ass hustling for suckers like you!

No, I am not toutbuster. I think all services are scum. The only reason i inquired about toutbuster is that he uses a methodolgy that is very similar to mine. I have been fading and following some touts for a while, making a good profit.

I will try to post my plays whenever I can and you can see the results for yourself. I would never sell picks. I think it is pretty lame and it can actually affect the way you pick games. Some of the things that guy in toutbuster mentioned is exactly what I beleive too and that is why i was curious about him.

I am the owner of toutbuster.com and this thread was brought to my attention by a client of mine. I am not the person who created this thread like most of you claim. I think it is unfair to bash my site because one of the forum members decided to make this thread. Why not delete the thread instead of bashing my site?

Everything that I mentioned in my site are true. The records are true. My plays are currently monitored by the betting advice surveillance team and if i fake the records i would be exposed. To see the monitoring details check the below links:

http://forum.bettingadvice.com/viewtopic.php?t=79729
http://forum.bettingadvice.com/viewforum.php?f=18

I can understand the harsh feelings towards services but I am not one of those touts who gurantee things. My results speaks volumes and they are proven and monitored. I hope in the future people do some investigation before bashing my site.

As you all know I dont offer any guarantees, however I am reasonable enough to slash down the price down all the way to $150/week from the regular cost of $500 week because of the two bad weeks. This will give an opportunity for clients to secure 5 weeks under their belt at almost the cost of 1 week. If you sign up for the 5 weeks option, I will start your subscription next saturday (sept 6th) and throw in rest of this week as a compliment to make up for the bad results in the past weeks. That will give you a nice 6 week period at a very low cost to get a taste of College Football and NFL picks.

Note: You cannot sign up for more than 5 weeks at this offer, so sign up only once.

--

As expected college football picks started great. the opening day for the first week was perfect 3-0 including 1 MLB picks. These were the results of the picks for htis saturday as monitored by BA

Aug 30/08 - NCAAF - Clemson - Alabama
Selection: Under 46.5 Odd: -110
Risk $750 to win $681.82
Outcome: Won - Returned: +$1431.82

Aug 30/08 - NCAAF - Louisiana Tech - Mississippi St
Selection: Louisiana Tech win Odd: +248
Risk $500 to win $1240
Outcome: Won - Returned: +$1740

Aug 30/08 - MLB - St. Louis - Houston
Pitchers: List Looper & Moehler
Selection: Houston win Odd: +106
Risk $500 to win $530
Outcome: Won - Returned: +$1030

With my method of betting college football and nfl are the most profitable because thats when all the touts are busy and there are lot of service plays to look at.
