Amen. Why is this so hard to understand? Actually, it's obvious why. With apologies to many, there's a big difference between the pros and the pretenders. And where things get so screwed up on message boards involves unrealistic expectations. My god, winning typically requires dealing with more losing sessions than winning, but much bigger profits on the wins (a little less this way with sports betting than, say, blackjack or video poker). This is something that the non-pros simply can't understand, let alone stomach. Frankly, where the weak show their asses is when they overreact to a losing streak. It's Bell curve stuff. It's inevitable. Don't whine.
No book or no sharp bettor ever has a losing year! That's a year, NOT a session! Anthony is 100% correct about this. Squares don't want to be told that 55% is the max. Squares don't want to see 4-22 losing streaks. EVERYONE has losing streaks. Keep making +EV bets, and over a year's time you will be +.
