I guess giving compliments and calling out JJ on his constant negativity is a no-no.
Jon from Oakland: IF you banned me--I know we never saw eye to eye--please let me know WHY.
What a joke...
No wonder that place is turning into a grave yard...
Too many egos over there.
One of the posters had a consistent winning record over there a few weeks ago in baseball--crickets.
Out of the blue Jon, PC and a couple others (IIRC) give the guy his overdue props.
What happens? He never posted another play again.
Those two alone will bring down that site because of their arrogance.
Not a winning recipe if you want to start a message board, IMO.

You have been banned for the following reason:

No reason was specified. Of course not!!

Date the ban will be lifted: Never

And I don't even know if it was Jon. It might have been Custer for all I know--when I criticized Fez for criticizing his (Custer's) 1 play he lost on. I said it was a small sample size, Fez--in defense of Custer! (Not even really being critical of Fez, just pointing out the fact.)
Who knows...
It's a lame-ass forum if they have to ban people who try to bring a positive tone to the board.
I move on...

Zezo, I would say I cannot believe jon, the little, banned you, but knowing how fragile jon's ego is, I CAN believe it! What a farce!!!

The funny thing is Jon was moderator here and we never had a problem (just a few scuffs prior to his moderatorship).
I agree'd with ahearnb--the poster I really blasted here recently--about Fez, when he told him: "now you know what it feels like to follow you" (a legitimate criticism, IMO--when he broad-brushed Custer as a losing 'capper after following him for only one play; not even considering he might finish +EV for the year!).
As long as I get Florida in tonight for 3 big plays (ATL and Cle 1st 5 in the bank)... that's the bottom line. Winning.

Amen. Why is this so hard to understand? Actually, it's obvious why. With apologies to many, there's a big difference between the pros and the pretenders. And where things get so screwed up on message boards involves unrealistic expectations. My god, winning typically requires dealing with more losing sessions than winning, but much bigger profits on the wins (a little less this way with sports betting than, say, blackjack or video poker). This is something that the non-pros simply can't understand, let alone stomach. Frankly, where the weak show their asses is when they overreact to a losing streak. It's Bell curve stuff. It's inevitable. Don't whine.

No book or no sharp bettor ever has a losing year! That's a year, NOT a session! Anthony is 100% correct about this. Squares don't want to be told that 55% is the max.
Squares don't want to see 4-22 losing streaks. EVERYONE has losing streaks. Keep making +EV bets, and over a year's time you will be +.

Sorry Zezo, I've had enough. I think SWF would better appreciate your contributions.

Fwiw, I'm guessing you were banned based more on your body of work here at LVA than based on your 11 posts at RTP.

Would I have banned you? No. Then again it's not my forum.

"Sorry Zezo, I've had enough. I think SWF would better appreciate your contributions." (Jon in Oakland)

Yeah, you are much better suited for constant negativity posts (how NO ONE ever wins at RTP) by "America's most beloved poster," Jeff Jones. LOL
Altho I did find some of his other posts amusing and witty.
Enough of what??? If the above post gets under your skin then you really should find another line of work. Do RTP a great service and RETIRE before you and your short fuse sink the board entirely.
Would The Chaperone be banned if he made the above [truthful] comment? Of course not. You had it in for me from the beginning.

I am waiting upon confirmation regarding the new LVA site.

Because as per the definition, a "pantomiming, ill-bred buffoon" just doesn't sound as good.

I joined in Jan. and made 1st post, made 2nd about a week ago in the Baker thread and got heaved. I'll miss them no less than they, me. I'm asuming the b- day wish in between was not sincere. lol. Would like to wish Chap, Cutter, etc etc good luck with football this season.

Too funny, Biscuit. That tops my 11. LOL
In a freaking bank robber's thread no less...
It wouldn't surprise me at all if Baker still had his posting privileges as well (if he ever signed up, that is).
If I am trying to build a successful forum the last person I want running it is Jon and his execution-style demeanor. I don't want him blowing new posters up for no good reason.
But it's his site and he can do whatever he wants, obviously.
Maybe he didn't like my "drive-by-only" posts. I was just trying to give a little encouragement and wake the place up a bit.
Football is coming so RTP will survive. But after that--and if the heave-hos continue--it could very well become RIP.
It just depends on how many posters are left and if Jon likes talking to himself.
