Thanks for the invite, but with any luck I won't be in Vegas at the end of August. I'm having enough trouble with the 90 degree heat up here at the moment.

By the way, I only drink Coke.

Isn't this what got Jeff Jones into trouble?

Try 104 degrees here in Portland. No AC and I am blowing the 86 degree temp around in my house with a box fan. Yikes, I am in Vegas! (Worse with the "muggy" factor here. Vegas has dry air and is 108 right now.)
Forget work the next couple of days, I'm heading to Chinook Winds at Lincoln City where it will be breezy off the cool ocean air and only 84 degrees tomorrow. Much cooler in the casino tho.

This week is brutal for those of us slumming without A/C. I'm bachelor partying in Portland this weekend. I wouldn't exactly call myself a rookie, but I'm open to suggestions. We have a limo so that's a good start I think.

That's a really good start, indeed.
I would expect nothing less from the Chaperone... Are you driving or riding? LOL
I haven't been out in the night life in ages so I really wouldn't know where to steer you as far as the hot clubs are nowadays. In the '80s and early '90s I could introduce you to some of the hot local band members along with the after-hour parties they attended. Now, it's like I have completely lost touch with that kind of lifestyle. The music is dead and the crowd I ran with has all married or disappeared.
Pretty sad. I wish I could do it all over again.
But I move on...
Now...
It's all about keeping the overhead low: no nagging old lady; no rug rats; no alimony; no child support; no jonesin' room mates looking for a free ride. It's all about picking and choosing which teams I like and what girls I like to pursue at the casino/grocery store to have a conversation with.
However, there are some really good sports bars around and eating establishments tho.
You're buyin'... I'm flyin'

Thanks for the offer but professional gambling in Vegas sounds very dangerous these days with robbery, guns, knee capping and closet homosexuality..........

I think I will stick to Bumphucksville.

LOL
Perhaps a Rob Singer celebratory 1 million-dollar-winnings VP milestone personal jet ride might persuade you otherwise??
That would be a classic Dreamer pic to behold: D. on the USA JetSinger having cocktails with the Man.
Somehow I would think he would rather take the bus over the Atlantic...

104 with no AC at my place. My parents owning two houses on the coast is a wonderful thing ...

Now I know where The Chaperone will be this weekend.

I'm heading out there shortly.
Maybe I can bum a spot on the floor from my long lost father's--haven't talked to him in 16 years--1 room rental shack in Otis if I get my clock cleaned. LOL
He once had it all: nice business (Rip City "Blazer" Pub. Even had some of the '77 champion team players--Steele, Hollins & Twardzik--out there for his grand opening), beautiful wife, lots of friends, etc. Now he has nothing and is just rotting away on Social Security. I keep thinking I will run into him down at Chinook Winds one of these days, but I don't even think he can afford to play the penny machine at this point. It would interrupt his daily beer drinking.
