At first blush, yes, it is expensive. But when you're getting '2lbs' of quality meat, can order extra pieces of bread, not to mention that 1 sandwich can feed at least 4 very easily ... FORGETABOUIT! The corned beef is to die for!

comment carnagies deli - t94912 (10/05/2008) - 1 out of 5 stars
after reading the comments about the deli, everyone seemed to feel the place was pricey. i feel that when your on vacation why worry about spending a few extra bucks,i mean you go to the casino and drop a ton of money and then complain about something thats probably worth every penny.
Carnegie Deli - teddybayer (09/24/2008) - 5 out of 5 stars
A+. THE best quality deli food in the world. Let me tell you a story. A few years ago, when I got off the plane in Vegas, I saw a huge billboard announcing The Carnegie had opened in The Mirage. I actually have The Carnegie Deli in New York on my cellphone and I called them. In the past there have been "fake" or franchised "Carnegie Deli's" that in no way represent the kind of quality you get in New York. So I called New York and asked them is this a real Carnegie? And they said "yes, it's really us". So we went the second night we were in town and as we were walking in this older couple, having reviewed the menu, were leaving, mad because a sandwich was $22. I ordered turkey and pastrami. The turkey is the best oven-roasted turkey I've ever had -- EVER. The pastrami is, well, The Carnegie, finest in the world. To say this sandwich, for $22 or $24 was as big as a Buick is not far from the truth. I asked for extra bread, I made myself a wonderful turkey sandwich and took the rest back to my room. Over the next 3 days, I made SIX MORE SANDWICHES out of this one sandwich. That's seven sandwiches total! And I'm not done. What was left was a mixture of turkey and pastrami, I went to Caesar's Food Court and bought a bagel (I was out of bread) and made one last sandwich for the planeride home. That's now EIGHT SANDWICHES, FINEST QUALITY! And when I opened up the sandwich on the plane, a woman seated next to me said, "Where in the world do you get such a HUGE sandwich?". So for the best deli quality, humungous portions, this is a treat that you can only get in New York City and The MIrage in Vegas. Go now! Don't wait! PS: THE BEST DELI MUSTARD EVER. A WHOLE GRADE BETTER THAN GULDENS!
Best Deli in Vegas - bobosuds (09/01/2008)
Reminds me of being in Manhattan, best deli by far, and I tried almost all in Vegas. Little pricey, but for what you get it should be. Try the Reuben its incredible.
