Dinky little place but with a certain low-rent charm. Tables were popping. Plenty of people playing pennies, nickels, quarters. Good specials with players card. Went there late mornings to lose some change and have a few pops. Quaint and in contrast to the prententious palaces along the Strip. Never slept here but might roll the dice on it once. Location is very good.

Coolest dump in town. Miss the 25c roulette and 25c craps w/100x free odds, but still the cheapest spot on the strip to gamble or hang out. Attracting a younger, hipper crowd as opposed to the stew bums from years ago.

Great Place - AJ & AC (01/23/2009) - 5 out of 5 stars
My husband and I have been staying and playing here for the last 10 years. The casino is more like the older casinos downtown, not too big and not too small, just right. We love it here. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Our room is always comped as are our meals. We refuse to stay anywhere else. Great location, great staff. We stay at least 3 times a year here. We will be back again this year, as always. We Love Casino Royale! See you guys when the income tax rebate comes in.

Cheap and Fun - ThreeD (01/18/2009) - 4.5 out of 5 stars
Dollar margaritas and Michelobs served by friendly bartenders Good selection of penny slots and nickel video poker (with good 9/6 pay scales too) Cheap table games with friendly dealers and a rowdy, fun crowd Great location- literally right outside the door from Harrah's or Venetian and right across from Caesars and the Mirage Summary- for those of us who actually work for a living and cant afford to toss down $25 dollars a hand for blackjack or $12.50 for a well drink from the bar, Casino Royale is the place to go.

My husband and I visit Las Vegas on an average of 4-5 times a year. We are offered comps from everywhere from Downtown, The Wynn, Harrah's properties and Casino Royale. We've stayed at The Wynn and various Harrah's properties, yet we stay and play at Casino Royale because of the friendly bartenders, cocktail waitresses and the convenience of getting to shows and other attractions on the Strip. We are considered "regulars" and know everyone by first name. That is what makes this place a real jewel in the center of the Strip. I really hope that Casino Royale remains as it is,a very employee supportive, good place to work. It is now undergoing renovating. The rooms have new super comfy beds. We have a winning time when we are there and enjoy foods comps at Outback everytime we go. Big plus is no kids running around.

The casino really is a dump, honestly. However it is a rare find on the strip, especially in the area of all the mega resorts like Venetian, Caesars, Bellagio, Mirage, and Wynn. If you want to just hang out in some scrubby clothes and drink $1 Michelob bottles, this is the ONLY place on the strip. My friends and I have stayed there two years and absolutely love it. As for the rooms, they are surprisingly nice (compared to the casino floor). Very clean, decent space and respectable service. All the other places we have stayed it takes 5 minutes to get from your room to the street, but at the Royale it takes less than one minute to get there. They are generous with their comps if you play there and outside some gypsy dude gives out all kinds of freebies. Keep this place in business with your patronage and keep it from being swallowed up by MGM or Harrahs.

Don't forget to tip your bartender!!

Afternoon Delight - VegasPosse (11/17/2008) - 4 out of 5 stars
This place is a refreshing afternoon must. The natural light from the outside, low limit craps, and most important.. $1 michelob & .99 frozen margaritas. A great change of pace from their huge neighbors. Stop in and see for your self.

Great Craps For Now - Ben Jammin (06/10/2008) - 3 out of 5 stars
Now 2 tables, usually $5 dollars 20X odds. Sometomes $3 on one table. Hard to get a spot when it's busy. Lots of small time players taking up space on the tables. This used to be the best place for craps, but it's gone downhill somewhat. You can get a coupon sheet once a month with some decent bonuses. The wheel of fortune at least hits here occaisionally. The usual assortment of slots and video poker, and $1 beers at the bar. The drinks they serve to players come in a small glass(like 8oz) even the beer. Better to get one at the bar. Still a good spot for center strip.
