Solid video poker offerings, good staff, good food, and fairly easy comps. Room was decent enough, but I don't need anything fancy. This was my first stay at Sam's and my next trip I will definitely stay here again.

Nice Hotel - mckernaniii (08/21/2009) - 4 out of 5 stars
Sam's Town has great quarter video poker, easy room offers and a very nice hotel. Buffet is not very good. Overall a top place to stay and play.

Recent Stay - Dave_M (05/21/2009) - 4.5 out of 5 stars
Stayed here during the second week of May. Room was great, 9th floor overlooking Mystic Falls. Clean and comfortable, staff was very friendly and helpful. Wife had her nails done in the Spa, she said the technician was great, and actually cheaper than some of the other nail salons we have visited. Won a little money in the casino on the last night. Will definitely stay here again.

buffet food - buffet expert (05/18/2009) - 1 out of 5 stars
My husband and I were on boulder highway last week, and decided to go to sam's town for lunch at the buffet. We paid 18.00 dollars for lunch. boyd should be ashamed of himself, the food was terrible. It looked like left over pot luck from employee dinning room, or from the weekend left over block party. I was embarassed to even ask for my money back. There was nothing to choose from.Nothing i would eat. signed e

I enjoy staying and playing at Sam's Town in Shreveport, so decided to try the Las Vegas property...this is a Boyd establishment? Not by my standards...the rooms are so so..the staff was snotty and acted like we were an interuption to their day. To be that far from the rest of the Las Vegas experience, these folks need to step up

the atrium is something you can't find in any other hotel in town. Good VP and very friendly staff.

wasn't impressed - stlydr (10/30/2008) - 3.5 out of 5 stars
If you do not want an in-room coffee maker, safe, or hot shower, then this is the hotel for you. Having said this, the room was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and quick to serve, the food delicious. The gaming was fun. We prefer The Orleans and would stay there instead of Sam's Town.

Great Place to stay - KeyserSoze (09/25/2008) - 4.5 out of 5 stars
I've stayed there twice now and both times positive experiences. I like the mix of both locals and tourists. I play mostly table games. Dealers and pit people friendly as already noted. I've eaten at both Breakfast and Dinner buffets. Both good value. Never feel I'm crowded in. Also ate once at Cafe. Again good experience - hamburgers excellent. And major plus for me is Free Shuttle Service to Strip and Downtown. Makes it easy to get around without taxis. Don't forget to tip drivers. One drawback for me is getting back and forth to Airport (I used taxis). I wish they would run a shuttle there, even if you had to pay for that route.

Absolutely love Sam's rooms. Very nice. Love the casino and buffet. Had 2 meals at the cafe in the atrium that had outdoor seating. The service was not very good and the food we ordered was not good or a good value. But we love the breakfast buffet and the lady that makes the omelets!
