Rode the Deuce on my last trip (June 16-19) Advise riding in the morning during the week to avoid the crowds. Great view up top in front/great way to see the strip. Three (3) day senior (60)/medicare/youth (6-17) pass $7.50 (Must be purchased before boarding the Duece with a free reduced fare photo ID card available at RTC Bus Downtown Transit Center and RTC South Strip Transfer Terminal)

The Deuce - Time versus Price - Jonny Vegas (03/05/2009) - 1 out of 5 stars
On several prior trips to Vegas I've taken the Deuce to save money getting to and from downtown. While it definitely is cheaper than taking a taxi, you can certainly kill a lot of time riding the Deuce. I usually find it packed to capacity, and making very frequent stops every few blocks to let passengers on and off, which can take quite a while each time. I'm not unsympathic to the plight of the handicapped, but when a wheelchair bound passenger wants to get on or off, it can take the driver 5 minutes or more to assist that one passenger alone. Each time I've ridden the Deuce, I've later regretted the decision to do so, as you can take an hour or more to go the same distance as you could have gone in just 10 minutes in a taxi. If price is your deciding factor, take the Deuce, but if your time in Vegas is valuable to you, spring for a little extra and take a taxi.

I'd rather walk! Unless you board early in the morning, most Deuce buses are at crush capacity. If they would run at the promised five-minute intervals, it might be tolderable. But I've waited 30 minutes or more between buses, only to find two or three arriving within a minute or two of each other, all at standing-room-only. Deuce needs more sidewalk ticket vending machines so customers can pre-purchase passes and speed up the boarding process. Now, you have tourists fumbling to find enough dollar bills and then slowly feeding the bills, one at a time, into the farebox. Wastes way too much time! Deuce buses ARE very clean, but they way they are being operated at present chases away too many people.

I will agree, The Duece can not be beat!!! What a deal! I have traveled to Vegas several times and this last trip was my first experience on The Duece. It stops pretty much in front of every casino and the strip!! As we all know when we take taxis you can only get dropped and picked up at the hotel entrances, but with this bus you are dropped right off on the Strip! It is only minutes between each bus and you can jump on and off at will! A one way fare is $3, a 24 hour pass is $7 and a 3 day pass is $15. You can go down to Fremont Street and back up the strip again. Just be forewarned that on busy weekend nights, it will take longer to get to your destinations. But overall, it is the only way to go!! Sit on the top of the double decker bus, you get a great view! :)

Cat Busses - talanhart (09/24/2008) - 5 out of 5 stars
The best way to get around in Vegas. A 24 hour pass is only $2.50! If you want to ride the Deuce, slide your pass and drop in 50 cents and you can ride the Deuce 5 times before it costs you more than the $5 24 hour Deuce rate. Can I take the bus from the airport you ask? Yes, the 108 and the 109 both service the airport. Take the 108 or the 109 North to downtown depending on where you are staying. What if I am staying on the strip you ask? I would take the 109 South to the South terminal. This is the starting point for the Deuce North. If you are lucky, you will get the front seat on the top for the best view. Are transfers easy you ask? Yes, most of the routes run North South and East West. Are the bus drivers friendly and helpful you ask? I have ridden the busses many times and the bus drivers are very friendly and helpful.

The Duece is awesum. It may take a little longer but compared to the monorail which takes you to the back of the properties in many cases and forces you to take long walks to get where you are going the duece drops you off in front of the casinos and the fare cannot be beat.
