LV Monorail - Pixiebob (05/17/2009) - 4.5 out of 5 stars
My friend and I LOVE the Monorail. Beats cabs and walking! A time saver. One can go from one end of the stip to the other in about 5 to 10 minutes. We love it! The price of $28 for 3 day unlimited is great! If you figure out the other ways of getting around it beats a cab by far! Hop on a Bally's to to MGM, cross to NYNY cross over to Excalibur, take the tram to Mandalay Bay in a jiffy! The only reason I gave it 4.5 rating is that, yes, it is a hike through your hotel to the stations, not convenient. Or they should put in moving sidewalks to the stations for us "older" folks where walking can be a bit of an effort! If they made moving walkways like in the airports, it would save a bit more time and wear on your feet! Other than that, the Monorail is a great benefit!

A very good thing after they dropped the price. Walking not too bad. Relaxing, nice view, and you can save $ with a 3 day pass. I will be riding this Dec. (08) !

Greedy Casinos should make this free - Howdydude (10/08/2008) - 1 out of 5 stars
Way overpriced for something designed to get you from one casino to another -- these very rich casinos need to be paying for the Monorail. If it could do trips to the airport, that would be worth the $5.00. We stayed at Flamingo and saw a show at Hilton -- thought this would be perfect so we didn't have to deal with valet waits. But for a couple bucks in tips we got our car out of the valet at one and parked it free at the other. Plus, the Valet is at the front door and the Monorail is a hike to get into the casinos. Our trip would have been $20 for two people to do the Monorail ($5 per person each direction.) In fact, depending on where you are going and what time of day, you can take a cab for less! It is amazing to me that these casinos can ask people to pay $5 (which, I believe, is more than any other subway in the country) and yet the sole purpose is to transfer us between their casinos where we are sure to spend more money.

Monorail - terrytwo (09/17/2008)
Bought a 10-ride ticket just before it was scheduled to open. On four trips to Vegas the monorail was either delayed in opening or broken down. On a fifth visit I was told that my tickets had expired and I was out the cost. I have not even thought about riding the monorail since. If my only options are walk or the monorail, I'll walk.

I enjoyed the monorail. I planned my entire vacation around it. So i got myself and my wife a three day pass and would arrive to my planned event within minutes and a hell lot cheaper than a taxi.
