NoMad Las Vegas, the hotel-within-a-hotel that occupies the top four floors of the Park MGM (formerly the Monte Carlo), opened on October 12, 2018. It's the third NoMad hotel in the U.S., the sister property to those in Los Angeles and New York City (NoMad is short for North of Madison Square Park, the neighborhood surrounding Madison Avenue and 23rd Street in Manhattan). The boutique hotel has 293 European-inspired rooms and suites, with oak floors, custom furniture, and original artwork.
The casino, reminiscent of Casino de Monte Carlo, offers high-limit baccarat, blackjack, and roulette, all beneath a Tiffany glass ceiling. The casino "bar," which serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night light fare, is off to the side, with red-velvet booths and couches and a baby-grand Steinway piano for live music, often jazz.
The NoMad restaurant is run by Chef Daniel Humm and restaurateur Will Guidara, the brains behind the famed Eleven Madison Park in Manhattan's Flatiron District, which has garnered six James Beard Foundation Awards, has three Michelin stars, and was ranked the number-one restaurant by the World's 50 Best in 2017.
The hotel pool, inspired by the Jardin Marjorelle botanical garden in Marrakech, Morocco, is scheduled to open in time for the 2019 pool season.
