The South Beach-themed Tropicana may be in the desert, but it will have you thinking you're in a lush tropical oasis. The oldest remaining hotel on the Strip (dating from 1957), it actually has the original two-story "bungalow" rooms; some overlook the four-acre pool area with swim-up blackjack from outdoor balconies. The rest of the rooms occupy two highrise towers and are standard issue, with plantation shutters, 42-inch LCD TVs, and iHome docking stations. A spa, fitness and business centers, a handful of restaurants, a showroom and comedy club, and a typical casino round out the property.
