Delta was the lowest at .05 passengers per 10,000 and Spirit was the highest at .82. It’s double good news for customers who want to get bumped, as the low rate is attributed to better compensation for passengers who volunteer to be bumped, spurred by the high-profile United Airlines forcible-bumping incident a year ago.

If you're catching a flight out of McCarran and you're carrying marijuana left over from your stay, you can deposit it in one of a dozen green-metal containers that were recently installed at the airport. The so-called "amnesty boxes" are bolted to the concrete in various places right outside the airport and car-rental center.
