We don't count card rooms as casinos, though some call themselves that. Nor do we count truck stops in Louisiana that have video poker, pull-tab gambling in Minnesota, slot routes in Nevada, tribal bingo halls, racetracks without slots, etc.
Without doing an inventory of every single facility in the U.S. that offers some iteration of gambling, we've tried to restrict our definition of "casino" to properties that have 20 gambling machines or more, though we make no claim that our list is definitive.
Stay tuned for a definition of our methodology in an upcoming Question of the Day.
