Free Wi-Fi hotspots continue to pop up all over town, but are more likely to be found in neighborhood bars than in the major Strip hotels, which still tend to charge for the privilege of Internet access, whether "hidden" as part of a nightly resort fee, or priced as a separate room charge.
That said, however, many of the larger properties have at least one area where you can take advantage of free Wi-Fi although to our knowledge, the Rio is not one of them; still, the Palms across the street has a free Wi-Fi hotspot, as do The Cosmopolitan, Caesars Palace, New York-New York, Wynn, Palazzo, and Paris on the Strip.
