The Giordano Theater, named for its owners, is a new venue that was due to debut on the second floor of the Fashion Show Mall back in January, but its opening has now been pushed back until the end of April, due to a delay in construction.
It's a boutique, state-of-the-art facility featuring just 427 seats, plus 7.2 Yamaha Surround Sound and 60p holographic projection, and describes itself as the world's only "live production/feature-film hybrid theater," whatever that means.
The company behind the project, Giordano World Entertainment, is involved in all aspects of the entertainment business, including artist management and event promotion, and plans to showcase several shows once the venue opens, including Rich Natole's Voices, (which has previously played at the Harmon Theater and the Tropicana) and Senses, which is billed as a Chinese dance production featuring body painting and an exploration of the "story of love" that employs the use of all five senses.
