Question of the Day — 23 Jun 2024

We're coming in from New Hampshire and one of the people in our group says that his first stop will be In N Out Burger, which he raves about and can't wait to get to once he arrives. My wife and I have never had In N Out and we'd like to try it, but we won't have a car and might need to take a cab. What's the closest branch to Planet Hollywood?

Ah, In N Out.

It's hard to believe today, but there was a time when Las Vegas didn't have any In N Out locations. The first arrived in 1992, the one at the corner of W. Tropicana Avenue and Dean Martin Drive just across 1-15 from New York- New York. This restaurant also has a retail location next door, open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily, offering shirts, caps, jackets, and other In-N-Out merchandise.

Since then, 12 more locations have opened; out of 417 branches in 275 cities in seven states, Las Vegas has the most of any city at 13.

Luckily for you, there's one within walking distance of Planet Hollywood. In fact, it's only 10 minutes on foot. You walk north, cross Flamingo, pass the Cromwell and Flamingo, then turn into the LINQ Promenade. It's about halfway to the High Roller observation wheel on the right.

Enjoy! We always do -- more so than Five Guys, Whataburger, Shake Shack, Fatburger, Sonic, and the others, though we recently ate at a Freddy's Steakburger for the first time (in Phoenix) and thought it gave In N Out a run for its money, at least in the burger department.
