Question of the Day — 7 Jul 2025

Recently, I've been thinking about all the changes that have taken place since my first trip to Las Vegas 30 years ago. For the most part, I have myself convinced that very few of them have been good. I can think of only one change that I like -- when they closed Fremont Street to traffic and created the Fremont Street Experience. I was wondering if you could do a poll and ask the people what they think the best changes have been. I'm sure there have been good ones that I'm missing.

We did a survey on all the things people would bring back from the good old days earlier this year -- in other words, all the good stuff that's no longer around. But we like the opposite-side-of-the-coin spin of this poll: What changes in the past do you consider to be positive?

For example, as the question states, the pedestrian mall on Fremont between Main and Las Vegas Boulevard.

Here are some more that we've come up with:

Sphere

Las Vegas Raiders

Arts District

Mob Museum

Neon Museum

Area15

Spiegelworld shows

Tech attractions (digital museums)

Downtown Rocks

Smoother pavement along the F1 circuit

A ton more restaurants (including food halls)

How about it? What are the good changes that have come to Las Vegas in the past, say, 10 years? Submit them in the comments and if there are enough of them, we'll run a poll a week from today.
