Reader Poll Preview: Las Vegas restaurants with the best view.

Also, your link to the current reader poll: What Las Vegas steakhouse is the best overall with value as the primary consideration?

Last month, the online restaurant-reservation platform OpenTable released a list of the nation's 100 most scenic restaurants, based on reviews collected from diners. The four that made the list in Las Vegas included the Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris (which occupies the 11th floor of the tower overlooking the Bellagio Fountains);  Giada at the Cromwell (which sits on the second floor diagonally across from the Fountains); Mon Ami Gabi at Paris (with its people-watching patio); and Hell's Kitchen at Caesars (which stumped us).

We're not unaware that the OpenTable list is the result of a less-than-scientific survey. Still, we were so surprised by the winners that we figured we'd see how our poll respondents rated OpenTable's choices as compared to all the other possibilities.

The following are our contenders for best-view honors; OpenTable's four are included in the interest of correlation accuracy. Also like the OpenTable selections, we're not concerned here with the relative merits of the food and prices, just the view.

The actual poll will run next week; today, we're looking for more choices.

We veered a little off schedule the last time, because we didn't need a preview for the previous poll on which Las Vegas Strip casino(s) the new Caesars Entertainment, after its merger with Eldorado Resorts, should dump. So today we've got the new poll preview and the link to the current reader poll: What Las Vegas steakhouse is the best overall with value as the primary consideration, and the link to the Caesars poll results.

This poll will run for a week, then we'll get back on track next week with this rooms-with-a-view survey.
