Question of the Day — 26 Nov 2017
For Bob Dancer: Computers and especially laptops have advanced well beyond Windows 8 and 8.1. When will the software Video Poker for Winners be upgraded to keep up with current operating systems? Many of us still want to use your VP program, which we purchased years ago, but can’t now. (I suspect even new customers are being turned away when they see they’re out of luck.)
Bob Dancer responds:
With every new version of Windows, Video Poker for Winners has been updated. As you say, the old version will not work on the new machines.
If you email
support@videopoker.com, supplying your name and email address, they'll look you up in the database and verify that you're a paid user, along with how many upgrades you've received in the past.
Then they'll send you an email version that will work on your new machine. Depending on how many upgrades you've had (I don't know that number), it's possible there will be a modest charge for the upgrade. But even then, it'll certainly be cheaper than buying a new version.
