Hussong's Cantina brings you authentic Baja cuisine, the unusually strong Original Margarita, a sing-along rock ‘n' roll Mariachi band, and universal appeal.

This restaurant was reviewed in the October 2010 LVA; some of the information contained in the review may no longer be accurate. Next door to the Burger Bar is Hussong’s Cantina. It’s good Mexican food with some interesting menu items—like bone marrow ($13.95)—but you pay for the Hussong’s brand. Three tacos are $11.95, plus $2 extra for shrimp or fish. So a shrimp, fish, and beef trio comes in at $15.95. The plate includes rice and beans, but that’s pretty pricey for street tacos. One of the bartenders here, who claims to have tried nachos all over town, swears that Hussong’s ($9.95-$14.95) can’t be touched. We’ll return to test that. Hussong’s also has a rep for its made-from-scratch margaritas ($10-$12) and you can get 2-for-1s Saturday-Thursday from 4 to 7 pm. There’s also one monster play here, but you have to be a local. From 7 to 9 pm on Thursdays, Las Vegas residents—and they will card you—can get a Dos Equis, a margarita, and a taco for $3. That’s almost worth moving here for!
