LVA Review

This restaurant was reviewed in the March 2008 LVA; some of the information contained in the review may no longer be accurate. From 5 to 7 pm on weekdays, Morton’s, a non-casino steakhouse at the corner of Flamingo and Paradise, serves complimentary burgers to bar patrons. These are the antithesis of the puny Wild burgers: two-ounce petite filet mignon sandwiches topped with a mild horseradish sauce. They bring ’em out on a big platter and you can pretty much dig in with impunity (two of us downed seven and no one blinked). OK, they’re not really free. Beers are pricey here, starting at $6.50 for a Bud, and martinis go for about $13, but the food’s a perk worthy of the lofty prices. There’s also a good for-pay bar menu (but steer clear of the way-too-garlicky onion soup).
