Stripburger is a burger stand that’s recently popped up on the southwest corner of the Strip and Spring Mountain, where there didn’t seem to be room for anything to pop. Burger stand? Well, maybe new-age burger stand is more accurate, with its stainless-steel tables and big circular bar in the middle of the space. Burgers and homemade shakes in an open-air setting on the Strip is a good idea in itself. But what’s amazing is how good these burgers are. The meat is not only fresh, but fresh-ground as well, and the patties are large, so you can get them cooked to order. Then there are the creative preparations, including the blue cheese burger (with fried onions), the Bloody Mary burger (celery and horseradish), and the green-chile cheeseburger. There’re also fries, onion strings, and several non-burger sandwiches, such as ahi tuna. Most burgers are $8.95 and nothing on the menu is more than $10. Burgers and beer in an outdoor setting that borders the most famous boulevard in the world—that’s hard to argue with.
