Urth Caffe started out as an organic heirloom coffee and tea house in southern California in 1991. The owners consider themselves "pioneers of the organic food revolution." Over the next 10 years, they opened more Urths (an alternative spelling of Earth) in West Hollywood, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Pasadena, and three other locations in California.
Today, Urth also serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, though still in the coffee-house style with no wait people. Its first non-Golden State location is at Wynn Plaza, where Urth introduced a line of organic and sustainable wines and beers and features local microbreweries.
Urth also serves fresh juices and smoothies and the menu is vegan-friendly (not surprisingly for the Wynn).
