I guess my reaction to all those Strip “bargains” is that they’re relative–“only” $15 for a snack and “only” $10 for a drink, and so forth–and you have to ferret out such “deals.” Why bother when this city is saturated with ACTUAL bargains? I can get a complete steak dinner at Ellis Island or SIX beers at South Point for the cost of one “specially priced happy hour cocktail” at the Golden Commode, or wherever.
I’ve never seen an article on this, but the biggest WSOP winner by far–dwarfing the Main Event first place winner–is the IRS. Imagine–28 percent or more of EVERY PRIZE!
