MLife is the new players club for all the MGM properties. It has some good features, but one I just hate is trying to figure out the number of points you are earning/have earned or the amount of coin-in for one session.
All players rack up the same number of points in each machines categoriy AS YOU ARE PLAYING – 1 point for every $2 of coin-in on slot machines or $10 of coin-in on VP. However, WHEN YOU TAKE OUT YOUR CARD, the machine refigures your points and gives you a bonus if you are at the Gold or Platinum tier. If you are Gold, you receive one point for every $1.75 of coin-in on slot machines or $8.75 of coin-in on VP and specialty games. Platinum members do even better, receiving 1 point for every $1.50 of coin-in on slot machines or $7.50 on VP and specialty games.
This refiguring after you take your card out is not so complicated if the card reader keeps updating your cumulative session base points as you play. But for some reason it doesn’t always do that. And if that happens or if your card is removed for any reason, i.e. you hit a taxable jackpot, the Gold or Platinum player trying to keep track of total session coin-in will have to do what some might consider some very confusing math calculations. I find it easiest to try to start off a session with no (or few) old points.
Jean, isn’t it 10 points for every $2 of coin-in on slot machines or $10 of coin-in on VP?
