Answering Your Questions

Thanks to everyone who has said good things about the recent series on Brad’s gambling experiences down through the years.  To answer your queries about whether I will now start writing about my own early gaming history, that is a possibility I am mulling  over in my head.  I had “sworn” that I would never ever write another book.  But last night when I had a four-hour bout of insomnia, one started sketching itself in my head:

Part I – Brad’s Gambling History – Hummmmmm… that’s already written

Part II – Jean’s Gaming History –  so many details that have never been published

Part III – Jean and Brad  Join Forces – meeting on Tonk Road and continuing the gambling  journey together.

On another subject, from the Comments:  “I’m having trouble wrapping my head around the fact that you are allowed to apply gas expenses against $1200 for your [Harrah’s 7*] annual trip.  Is this a particularly high roller perk?  I’d *much* rather drive than fly to Atlantic City.”

I was told this is a perk that is not publicized, but is available to anyone who has reached 7*.  They do not publicize it because flying seems more “upscale” and they want a 7* customer to feel “pampered.”  You need to ask your host for this option when you book the trip.

And, finally,  thanks to Chasbox for posting the Tonk link in the Comments.   I learned a few thing at that Web site myself, including the fact that the game is becoming more widespread and there are numerous variations.  And I think I am guilty of this fact mentioned in the site:   many players seem certain that their own way of playing is the only correct one!
