Sam’s Town, the Orleans, Gold Coast, and Suncoast are again, just like last couple of Sundays, giving 11x slots/7x VP today.  And once again it was not widely promoted in advance.  It’s in today’s newspaper, but a lot of people don’t read the newspaper before they go out for the day – or at all. Don’t get me wrong – I love the promo.  But I often am perplexed at the advertising techniques of casinos.  Let’s give a party and hope no one gets the invitation – that doesn’t seem like a way to maximize an advertising budget.

    I was able to take advantage of the Gold Coast points which was great while I was there. I was wondering if you know if Sams town (being the only one of this group) gives the 7x points on the FPDW game as well. I know the sticker on the machines say it takes $2 per point on those machines but was not sure if they allowed it to be part of multipliers. So would it be $2 = 7 points on the 7x days? And I am a sapphire member so would I get $1 to 1 point every other day? Just read Frugal Gambler and am considering the over 100% machines that I have always neglected in the past due to point restrictions. Thanks for the help!

    You must keep two things in mind that with this four property 7X/11X promotion–1. There is a max. cap of 10,000 base points that you can earn for these multipliers. 2. It is cululative between the four properties. According to a rep. at Sam’s, you cannot, for instance. earn 10,000 points at at Sam’s and then go to Orleans and do it again. Or, if you were to earn 8,000 points at Sam’s, then got to Orleans and earn another 8,000 points, you will get the full multiplier on the Sam’s points, but you only receive the 7X multiplier at Orleans on 2,000 points, and then your standard ruby, sapphire, or emerald level multiplier on the remaining 6,000 points that you earned at Orleans.

    judging by what I saw at Sam’s and Orleans last week, the Labor Day crowds were gone by Tuesday.
