Just got home from Hammond, Indiana, where we had a fun – and profitable this time – Harrah’s 7 Star trip to the Hammond Horseshoe. As usual, we ran into players we knew. We rarely go to any casino these days without running into friends from the VP world, whether it is in Vegas or clear across the country. One of the blessings in our life!
We love the buffet there at the Shoe and always marvel at their 7 Star Lounge, the best in the country in our opinion. The only downside is the lack of a hotel on property. We like to break up playing sessions with an afternoon nap, inconvenient here because of having to take a shuttle back and forth to the motel or hotel where we are staying.
But no matter how much fun we have in our travels to casinos in other parts of the country it is always good to get back home – back to our own bed and a more regular routine. We are tired from the flight and suffering a bit of jetlag. And to be honest, we are a little VP-weary. It seems we almost always play longer sessions when we are out of town. Being a tourist is a little more intense than living the local life and a rest is now in order!
