Strip Parking Update

Following my last blog, on May 14, discussing Strip parking, the next day the R-J had an article on the same subject, including a color-coded map.   That gave me some more details although I’m not sure how up to date all of them are – they still have the Riviera on their map! 🙂   I did some more research including visiting casino websites but my experience with these in the past have proven many are not timely updated. Even when I talk to casino personnel, I can’t always depend on whether the information they give is current.

So here is my best effort at a Strip parking guide for the frugal although I make no guarantees. I encourage corrections – you won’t hurt my feelings!

NOTES

Check my last blog entry for details on casino credit card benefits that include free parking.

Check casino websites for players club high-tier parking benefits. Also look for casinos that give the first hour free to anyone for quickie errands into their property. Both MGM and Caesars CET) properties have this benefit.

As usual, and especially on this constantly-changing subject, put in the “Comments” or e-mail me any additional details or changes you personally come across.

And to close on a negative note: I just heard that some casinos in Reno are starting to charge for parking. I don’t know any details yet.

This disease has spread fast!

  1. W e are out from Boston for a total of 4 months. If you have a car drive to off strip casinos, better payoffs, food is good to real good (for less money). We only go to WYNN and self park. on the strip. For the winter (3 months) we drive out. HAL

Agree with Bonnie . Vegas lost its charm of years ago . Used to be our favorite destination . We used to fly out there four , five times a year for many years . Now we drive to Biloxi once a month . Much more enjoyable and we get treated well . No parking fees and resort fees , at least not yet .

  3. Bonnie says:

This is our first trip to Las Vegas in along time and very disappointed with all
Charging for parking you go into there casino for fun and gambling then they charge you will I won’t be bk We drove out to Vegas in our Rv. As my husband said we con drive closer to home and not pay for parking. Slots seem tighter we were just on a vacation. We usually go to Tunica , Atmore, Biolox so I guess we will keep going there. Thanks for all the Imfo you take time to put out there for all of us Bonnie

Orleans also has a shuttle. Also…if you consider the Hard Rock a “short walk”, you’re in way better shape than me!

If we all would boycott casinos that charge for parking , this disease would go away REAL quick . Just like we allowed the airlines to add more and more charges , restrict leg room etc and make this a miserable experience and we still fly , why would they make changes . Same with casinos . They want us to come and spend our $$ and charge us for parking our cars to get there . They just lost my business . Vote with your feet .

Disease indeed, more like a viral virus. Used to be the cheapest place to rent a car now with the rental car fees and added paking fee charges there seems to be less reason to rent a car in Las Vegas *sigh*

  7. Steve D says:

The Orleans and Sam’s Town also have free shuttle service to the strip.Stops and picks up at Harrah’s. Sam’s Town also provides a separate shuttle for Downtown
