Family is a big happiness factor in our lives despite the factor that most of our relatives are scattered all over the US! One of my favorite sayings is that God created airplanes just for this situation!
Brad and I recently spent a wonderful four days in our home town of Indianapolis, visiting with old friends and relatives. The highpoint of the weekend was Brad’s family reunion on Sunday and it was great that so many could make it, including some relatives that we hadn’t seen for years. His two younger siblings, both in their 80’s as he is, were able to attend, with their spouses. And then there were nieces and nephews and cousins galore. We enjoyed extended time with his two children, and got to visit with 5 of his 6 grandchildren and 5 of his 7 great-grandchildren, the youngest a tiny 3 weeks old.
Here the “official” sibling photo: From left to right, Brad and me, then his sister Carolyn and her husband Vernon. On the right is Brad’s “little brother,” Bobby, and his wife Delores.

Now we are in Columbus, Georgia, enjoying our visit with the other side of the family. Pictures will come later. Then on July 7 part of the family is going with us to Harrahs Cherokee just over the northern border of Georgia, in North Carolina. We will be at the casino Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday, flying back to Las Vegas on Monday the 10th. Be sure to stop and say hi if you see us playing at a machine.
Dear Jean, I have been a long time reader of all your blogs, articles, and books over the years your wisdom on gambling and seeking the comps has given me plenty of heads up tips everytime we visit Vegas. It has given me a thought process on how to gamble to put some odds in your favor. The articles from your books are priceless and I have even passed it on to many family and friends over the years. I also encouraged many of our younger friends the next time they visit Vegas these are the things they should do when it comes to comps and benefits of gambling. Thanks to all the advice and now me and my wife are the “Ultimate Low Rollers”!
