I had remarked earlier that many of your readers might wish you to return to the realm of the low roller in your blog posts--that many people seem to feel that you left that realm some time ago, and thus your advice isn't as relevant to the casual .25 player as it used to be (like this thread--most of us mortals aren't going to get $1000 free play in one shot anytime soon). So I'd like to share my experience:

Background: During December and March stays of one week, played .25 single-line FPDW, NSUD, JOB, FPDB, and other positive or near-positive games, always with slot club bennies pushing the play up over 100%.

MSS: FPDB + 0.1 CB + mailers
Gold Coast: NSUD + 0.5 comps (seniors) + mailers
Palms: FPDW + 0.25 CB (no mailers)
El Cortez: JOB MS, FPDB + 0.2 CB (multipliers) + mailers
South Point: NSUD + 0.3 CB + mailers

I played about 7 hours/day at 1000 hands/hr. Once I played at a particular place, I stayed there all day to keep my daily average up. I finished up +$1100, though my EV was more like +$600.

So now I am staying the ENTIRE month of July, at the above properties, with free rooms, about $300 in free play, and about $250 in food comps. I will also be doing both an LVA and an American Casino Guide "coupon run". All in all, this will be a free vacation, aside from the cost of driving there. I don't know what the proper way to assign a valuation to all this might be, but the rooms would certainly average about $40/night at least, so I've gotten about $1750 in "kickbacks" from my play earlier this year. So despite the fact that there aren't that many good quarter games any more, the low-roller can still get a heap of goodies if he plays in the right places and knows how to work the system.
