Last week I wrote about people who really can’t take losing in a casino, referencing an article about players who take their anger and frustrations out on the machines. And just a few days after I wrote that, Brad and I walked into Tuscany’s, where we were guided by numerous employees around the front door, helping us avoid a large area covered with glass. Evidently machines aren’t the only target of angry losers. A man had just stormed out of the casino, slamming one of the front doors so hard that the glass had shattered into thousands of little pieces.
Fortunately no one was hurt. But we wondered if the man had been detained and whether he could be arrested and charged with some crime. An employee said he fled across the parking lot as soon as he exited the casino and “got away.” Who knows if he could have faced charges – perhaps he could have sued the casino for a faulty door? 🙂
I enjoy the atmosphere at Fiesta Station at Rancho. The few times i have been there it reminds me u are in Mexico. The children aren’t supervised and many VP machines aren’t working well and are tight as Brittney Spears A**. Other wise I can recommend the place. Seriously if the Casinos do not care about their service and maintenance people will stop and have stopped going!
I’m annoyed by these people that will run you over rushing to get parked and get into the casino also by the ones who don’t care if they run you over trying to get out of the casino parking lot after a losing session!
Hey Now
Unfortunately the downgrading is creeping downtown too..
6/5 BJ and resort fees are there already!
I totally agree. More and more casinos have special \senior days\ and promotions. All they are trying to do is take our monthly checks!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been next to people who are slapping the “hell” out of the buttons on their machine as well as cussing like a sailor. I feel like saying “would you please STOP that?” if you feel so angry about what you are doing, DON’T DO IT!!
I will not say that this man or others who get angry in the casinos are in any way correct in their behavior. But I will say this, going to the casino no longer is as enjoyable as it was in the past. The downgrading of machine payoff schedules, 6/5 blackjack, increased minimums for table game play and the constant eroding of slot clubs adds up to a less than enjoyable gambling experience.Add to the worsening of customer service and it makes one wonder why we continue to subject ourselves to continue to donate our hard earned money to a business tah only looks at us as a meal ticket. I believe that is a big reason why more and more regular Vegas visitors are gravitating to the downtown casinos.
I have seen this far too often, after working years as a Casino Surveillance Operator.
I have seen patrons break machines, doors (just as you said above) even to the extreme of assults on casino staff.
Hell, even before I was a surveillance operator, i spent years on the casino floor. I’ve been spit on, had chips thrown at me, even drinks thrown at me…
For some, gambling is not a source of entertainment…
