I agree with Geri and also love Poppy’s first pedicure, what a sport he is to share that memory with his granddaughter. He is also an example for so many grandfathers to share things even at 86.

Jean, I enjoy your stories so much. We met at the Palms early this year playing deuces at a “good” machine. You were so nice to us. We are from Virginia Beach. I was a kindergarten teacher for 36 years and I also grew up in a church going family. When we started going on gambling trips I was using your frugal gambling books to teach me what to do. I didn’t even know how to play poker. My mother-in-law said, “I never thought I’d see the day that you were at a casino!” Then I started getting Royals. “Hmmm… I can teach summer school 1/2 day all summer and maybe clear $1000 at the end of the summer, or I can go to Atlantic City and get a $1000 Royal.” We have had a wonderful time enjoying many trips economically thanks to you. I enjoy taking friends and family who haven’t been to Vegas before on coupon runs. They never believe me when I tell them that the $50+ they invest in an LVA membership and an ACG book can be turned into $200 with an evening’s effort. Then I show them how! (And like your granddaughter, who is a college student and therefore almost certainly perpetually broke, my friends have often been very appreciative of the free money.)

The film sounds like fun and I hope her university rules will allow you to post it on your blog when it’s done.

It’s great you get to have your granddaughter do that. Your pictures were enjoyable. Hope you had your pedi too. I got my first one about 4 months ago and now I’m addicted. Great time to relax.
