My wife is a regular slot machine player, mostly in Atlantic City. She has a MGM Borgata Platinum card, which is 3 X a Gold player card, and there are two lower levels than Gold, and one higher tier, their ‘Noir’ card. She also has a Hard Rock casino Rock Royalty card. Since the casinos have fully re-opened, the entertainment has come back to MGM Borgata & Hard Rock, but the comped entertainment has not. Her free play offers are lower, and the once free trips to MGM Beau Rivage in Biloxi, MS for 4 nights are now $300 each. We gave up on CZR here a few years ago. The casinos don’t need us now that they are busy.

Comps use to.be based on coin in & had good comps – unfortunately some casinos like Downtown Grand are now basing comps on theoretical – you win or break even – you get zilch in comps. Penalizing good players!

Luckily we were able to enjoy the “Golden Years” of casino gambling, thanks to Lenny Frome, Bob Dancer and your books and blogs. We quit going a couple of years ago when it became too time consuming to hunt down the best deal. Still enjoy reading about it and we have about 20 years of wonderful memories. Thanks Jean!

Still is amazing to me that at czr properties you can find value playing there with their horrible poker pay tables, and stingy attitude toward players in general.

Great post, Jean. Thanks for all the info. My wife has been getting some really good free play offers from the Westgate, where we don’t play too much and from Tuscany, one of our favorites. The Orleans, one of the casinos we used to frequent a lot before the pandemic, has really gone down on their free play and other benefits, unfortunately. My best to you and Brad.
