Great interview Jean as it was very interesting to hear your story. As my wife and I watched this together it reminded us of almost exactly how we felt when we first visited LV for my 50th birthday back in 2002. It was actually our first venture together in many years without the kids! We too lost all the money we brought but couldn’t wait to get back and have another go at it. Like you I started to read and the first book I bought was “The Frugal Gambler” followed shortly thereafter with “More Frugal Gambling”. There were so many great tips on many different subjects in your books to help the beginner gambler. I personally liked the tips on how to get better results playing VP while my wife enjoyed the tips on how to use the comp system to our advantage. Well I could go on and on about the similarities (including almost moving there) but this is about you and Brad and we enjoyed this interview very much so thanks for sharing.

P.S. Knowing that you were an english teacher makes me double check my grammar when writing you but I’m sure there are several mistakes anyhow, LOL!

I enjoyed the interview very much. I found it interesting that the way you phrased playing in the casino is “winning, losing or breaking even.” I only play when I have a 100%+ advantage and my mind set is “I am UP or I am DOWN” at the end of the playing session(day, month, year). I find it a much easier way to mentally deal with the volatility of VP. AND the math does prove to be right in the long run. I am way ahead after 20 years.

Jean, many thanks for this informative video. This will give guidance, and hope, to all of us still trying to make that first million playing the machines. Glad to know you and Brad are still having fun gambling.

Thanks Jean for helping all of us be frugal gamblers. Her interview today is as good of advice as it was twenty years ago. Bless both you and Brad.

I loved seeing you on the tube. Maybe we will get together one day when we are in Vegas.
