As far as whether you should play for gift cards or drawing entries, first of all, the gift cards need to be worth the -EV you have to fade to earn them. If that is the case, then they're superior to the drawing tix, because you can't quantify that EV and it might be very, very low, especially if you only play dollar or lower denoms. If the drawing is worth anything, Bob Dancer will be playing $10,000 a hand and hogging all the tickets. The more lucrative the drawing, the more players it will attract, and the lower everybody's individual EV will be. It's much sounder strategy to go for the gift cards, since that return is quantifiable--again, presuming the play is worth doing in the first place, given that you have to play bad games to get the cards.

I'm an out of towner so don't get a mailer but always able to do the Play, Earn and Win. Always a nice little bonus, especially when they have gift cards. Some of the better items at times are too large to take back on the plane so gift cards are WONDERFUL!

HARD ROCK PROMOS FOR DECEMCER:
Mo: Play and dine: 300 points = $10, 600 points = $15
Tu: Play and dine: 300 points = $10, 600 points = $15
We: Play and dine: 300 points = $10, 600 points = $15
Th: Play and earn cookies: 200 points = Free cookies
Fr: Play and earn entries for 7Pm drawings Ipads, Iphone+
Sa: 20X/7X
Su: Play and earn freeplay: 250 points = $5 up to $50

Additional all days Dec 1 - 25 : Play and earn Macy's card 1000 points = $25 up to 4 per day.

On top of promo's above seniors 45+ earn:
Mo-Tu-We-Thu all day 15X/7X. 50 points earn free 6-pack coke up to 4.

A senior can literally quadruple dip on Mondays and earn 7X/15X, earn food comps, earn free cokes and earn a gift card all on the same day.

Remember that you have to swipe your card and opt in everyday. If you play over midnight remember to swipe again at 12.00A.

In my opinion HRH currently offers the best comps in town. I get freeplay 9 times a month and food comps once a week in addition to above.

My question about the Palms would be, since if you play their good VP, you get absolutely nothing and you are ineligible for promotions, what is the best VP you can play and earn gift cards? I know that they have some JOB, but recently, people were hitting those hard for the bingo card promo and people were taken out and shot afterwards. So perhaps Palms has followed Stations' lead and made not just +EV VP but also "decent" VP ineligible for promos. Can you tell us what amount of coin-in earns a given gift card and what the best game available for the promo would be? Also, if they have a daily max number of cards, that would be good info. (Needless to say, I can't find any of that info on their stupid, awful, moron-created website.)

Thanks again for the info. I agree the year does seems to fly by faster as we get older,

The Palms offer talks about a mailer. Is that Play, earn and win only valid if we have a mailer?
