Just got back from three days at Gold Coast and Orleans. For W. Davis, above: 11x Wednesday was active at both. Also got free-for-two buffet coupons at both places–but Orleans was so crowded due to some special events that we didn’t use the one there. I’m too old to spend a lot of time standing in long lines.
Orleans parking was also a bit of a problem, with some areas fenced off, but still free. Some of the daily poker tournaments were cancelled, so we made a couple of side trips to South Point and the Rio.
Gold Coast was better. Walked right into Ping Pang Pong for Dim Sum, hit a non-wild Royal on quarter Deuces Wild, racked up lots of points at 11x, and requalified for Sapphire through 2020–unless they change the rules again. Don’t think I’ll try very hard for Emerald, though. The “Emerald-and-above” line wasn’t moving either.
Also got plenty of fitbit steps at Orleans and South Point.
Service at all four places was first-rate. Rio looks pretty sad from the outside, and unlike Orleans, was not very crowded. After checking some of the VP pay schedules, I suspect I could tell them one reason.
Good luck and good counting to all, if you can find a playable game. Three of the four casinos mentioned had some.

Just on the boyd site….rolling into town soon and noticed (unless I’m missing something) boyd only shows YAH Wednesdays at the 3 downtown casinos.??

Last month for a change of pace I decided to play off some mailer free play at Fiesta Henderson, instead of my “home” casino, GVR. The free play did not show up on the side menu on the machine when I put my card in. When I checked at the booth, I was told that the free play was only redeemable at the “main” station casinos, ie: GVR, Red Rock, etc. Learned something.

Thanks Jean, i am from Canada and have started to play DW and NSUD only off the main strip. Your last sentence mentions basketball madness in March. I am going to book 3 or 4 days in the Henderson area, including GVR in late September. Any other sports events or conventions i should be aware of around that time?

Yes Jean,
AI (Artificial intelligence) is taking over most all of the player’s club systems.
(No, not expert at gaming industry).
I worked in other areas and saw my job end due to AI being used more and more.
This is why I believe your writing is correct, but the boss of hosts can override the system a few times only.
Yes, it is getting out of hand because humans are allowing AI to make the decisions and are playing 2nd fiddle .
